44 is the answer. but what is the question? That's what i'm here to figure out today. There are multiple ways of this being you answer. like : 22 + 22 = 44. But that's too plain. Think outside the box.

88/2 = 44
124 - 80 = 44
1 + 19/2 = 10 x 4 + 4 = 44
-6 + 50 = 44
1,000,000 - 560,000 = 440,000/1,010 = 44

How to drive (A Go-Kart)

In the holidays, I went Go-Karting! It was so much fun driving one for the first time ever! It was on a dirt track and it lasted for 20 minutes! The people were spraying the dirt to keep dust down and so we could slide around the corners. To drive a vehicle, press down on the pedal on the middle to accelerate. the one on the far right to brake. The far left is a foot rest. The car will speed up the from the amount you are pushing the pedal. That's all I know because I'm only 11. Please give me some feedback.

Student Summit 2019

Today was the big day! We went to South Hornby for Student Summit! We had lot's of things that we could do, and I even met an old friend! I was a presenter for Animaker. There was so many groups! We all sat in the basketball court as you can see bellow. Here are some photos :

Home learning blog

If you were to make an animal, what would it look like and what would it be called? That is what I'm doing this week. If i were to make an animal, it would be a cross between a Guinea pig and a Rabbit. The head would be the Guinea pig and the lower body a Rabbit.

Student Summit 2019!

This year  in Rimu, I got chosen to be a presenter for Student Summit! Me and my group are doing Animaker. I don't know personal how to use it but it's used for making explaining helpful and also, in a cartoon like way! If you know about Powtoon, then it's probably going to be easy for you to use. Looking forward to showing the rest of you at HHS in session 1 & 3. See you Friday!

The LOCKDOWN

Sorry for being 2 weeks late on this blog but, anyway... To the blog!

As you might have already experienced on Friday, all of the schools in Christchurch went into lockdown. Luckily, the internet was still on but only for a short amount of time. Later on they put on Despicable Me 2 on the TV.

(Excuse the darkness.)

You might have seen on the news what had happened. But during the time in the lockdown, we enjoyed it best as we could as we didn't know what was happening. We had paper that we could draw on to pass the time. My feelings were very emotional like I wasn't going to see my mother again, and having to wait at school for 3 1/2 more hours than usual, that was worrying. That was all of the information I have. Please send me some feedback if you know more about this.

Dot plot graphs

This week in Rimu, we were working on Dot plots and bar graphs. It is probably an easier way to do a graph. it is very simple. make an equation that needs a chart. then get a chart and make the percents in dots. Here is an example :

Robert, a Year 8 student at Roosevelt Middle School, usually goes to bed
around 10:00 p.m. and gets up around 6:00 a.m. to get ready for school.
That means that he gets about 8 hours of sleep on a school night.
He decided to investigate the statistical question: How many hours per
night do 6th graders usually sleep when they have school the next day?

Robert took a survey of other Year 8 children and collected the following
data to answer the question:

Robert decided to make a dot plot of the data to help him answer his
statistical question. Make a dot plot with Robert’s data.
