My Dream House : Home Learning

Have you ever wanted or had a Dream house before? Really really you haven't ever wanted a dream house before?! Wow. Well today I'm going to show you what my Dream House would look like. (I was up at 3:45am doing this blog!) It would be a modern type of home. It would be 2 stories high and has a pool and a jacuzzi! Home Learning : Finding a New Website

So, the teachers asked us to find a new website and share what it's about, and I did exactly that!
This Website is called BrickLink. BrickLink is a place were you can buy and sell Lego to others globally. I have used it once or twice and have discovered that the bricks can be new, or used which would cost less. They have brick catalogs that can be sorted by specific color or piece category. There is a wide variety of stores and pieces to choose from! on the site, you can even find a page just for MOC (Model of Own Creation) build kits to purchase. My Book Report :

Name : Elias Martin.

Author : Nicola Davies

Summary :  17 year old Elias Martin lives in a place so very cold an so very harsh. He is a hunter who fights for his life in this harsh climate. Every winter he goes out and hunts for deer, trading the skins for supplies. One night, while getting wood, he found something very, very strange that will change his life.

This is a realistic story that I could imagine happening somewhere in Alaska. I would recommend this book if you're looking for something short and Non-Fiction.

Invention or Discovery : Home Learning

 Have you ever thought about math, no not about doing math I mean if it's a Discovery or an Invention. I never have until today. I made a drawing about what I think and other people. I asked Toby and he said it was an Invention. However, when I asked Mrs Taylor she said discovery. I said Discovery because a person probably started playing with some pens and was like,"Now there are two pens." Here is my drawing.

Math is Cool : Home Learning

Do you know how to teach your Parents? That's what I'm here to do! I taught my Father how to Round Decimals to the Nearest 10 or 100. First, I told him that if it's 1 - 4, it gets rounded down to 0. But if it is from 5 - 9, it gets rounded to the nearest tenth or hundred. Then, I gave him an example.
"If you had a number say, 12.34, you would round to 12. But if it was 12.56, you round it to 13." The only challenge I had was the fact my Dad knows everything about Math! If you have any questions about this post, please leave some feedback. Well, That's All I have to say for now! T.J, Out!

A Trip In The Tardis : Home Learning

If you were to take a trip in Dr. Who's Tardis, where and when would you go? Would you go to the future to see upcoming changes, or the past to fix up some bad mistakes? My Book Report :

Name : Goosebumps MOST WANTED A Nightmare On Clown Street.

Author : R.L. Stine

Summary : A boy named Ray Gordon receives an invitation from his uncle Theo, to stay with him for the summer. At first, everything seemed fine and he was excited, but as the days passed, things got strange. After a series of events, it seemed that someone didn't want him there. People getting blamed for what they didn't do, lead to people getting banished to a place of punishment and fear. While trying to escape, they meet friends and all work together and overcome their fear. Eventually they succeed in escaping and everyone was free from this horrible nightmare.

I thought this horror filled book was really interesting because, eventually the tables start to turn to reveal this book's dark side. It definitely was in my list of good books so far, and went differently from how I expected. I would recommend this book if you were into twists and turns.

What do you think is the best age? That's what i'm here to answer. Last night, I asked my parents what they think the best age is and why they think that. I said 2 was the best age because, you would forget bad things that happened to you and don't have to do anything. Mom said that she thought 21 was the best age when she was my age. (11) She thought this because it meant she'd be a grown up and could do whatever she wanted. But now she's 37 and thinks that 11 would be the best age, cause she could just lay around and play video games, watch YouTube and not work, cook or clean. (She wrote that.) Dad said that the best age is 23 because he was old enough to be experienced, not to old and makes him a young adult. Please comment down below what you think the best age is. Can you teach your parent something you have learnt in school? That's what i'm here to figure out today. Well I can. I had to teach my Mom Linear equations. For those of you who don't know what a linear equation is, it is basically algebra. Here is an example :

you have n amount of money.

n4 + 12 = 25
25 - 12 = 13
n4 = 13
13 / 4 = 3.25
n = 3.25

Now try to do one on your own. Can you make your own linear equation?

44 is the answer. but what is the question? That's what i'm here to figure out today. There are multiple ways of this being you answer. like : 22 + 22 = 44. But that's too plain. Think outside the box.

88/2 = 44
124 - 80 = 44
1 + 19/2 = 10 x 4 + 4 = 44
-6 + 50 = 44
1,000,000 - 560,000 = 440,000/1,010 = 44

If you were to make an animal, what would it look like and what would it be called? That is what I'm doing this week. If i were to make an animal, it would be a cross between a Guinea pig and a Rabbit. The head would be the Guinea pig and the lower body a Rabbit.

Suggest a 3 materials to use to make a house for the 3 little pigs. I would suggest stone base layer, Concrete walls, and steel roof. I think this because stone is a common base layer because it is a strong material to use. concrete because it is strong against wind, rain ect and stays in place for years. steel roof because it will be suitable for a wolf to stand on but is not very grippy so the wolf falls off.
