Newsela

Hello Fellow Bloggers!
For reading we have been using Newsela.
Some of you might already have heard of it,
It's basically a test that you have to complete on a random subject.

Last week, we did an article about Hairless Cats.
Did you know that they have an 8% increase of body heat than others?
All of the articles come from the NYTimes.
You should go check it out! They have the most popular stories!

Anyway, Hairless cat's. What was I saying again?
That's right. They may not look as cute and playful as others,
but they are the most social cats in the world.
This particular breed of cats first started in Canada.

It was when a mother had a litter of 9 kittens.
One of which was hairless. It's genes were different to most cats.
Genes are what make the body form in it's looks.
Adopting a hairless cat is, let's say it's not that cheap,
as most people charge over $1300 to adopt one!

Their bodys aren't slimy to the touch but allow for downsides.
Here is a picture of what they look like.

They don't look that cuddly do they?
Their skin is like a magnet to dirt and dust,
making them irratated and itch at the skin.
I personally would rather have a Birman Seal Point.

What cat would you consider owning?
I would love to hear what your suggestions are!
I hope you learned something new!

Our New Novel Study Books!

Hello fellow Bloggers!
I'm back with another exciting post from YMS Rimu Class!
Today's Blog Post is going to be about Our New Novel Study Books!

Have you guys heard of a book called: The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas?
Or maybe: My Sister Lives On The Mantelpiece? Well those are our Novel Study Books.
I'm reading The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. It's about a kid named Bruno who lives in Berlin
and has to move a house because his father has got a job away from Berlin.
As for Bruno, he finds a fence with people in Striped Pajamas and gets curious of it's contents.

That's all I know at the moment. Keep tuned in to learn more of this exciting book!
If you know about this book, please leave a comment down below.

My thoughts about our new book, HOLES

Hello fellow Bloggers!
I'm back with another exciting post from YMS Rimu Class!
Today's Blog Post is going to be about our new book, HOLES!

For those of you who don't know what holes is, it's a book about children that went camp green lake and dig holes for being sent there. They each have nicknames to be called by. Anything they find they have to report it to Warden Mr. Sir.

That's all I have to say for now. Post some feedback if I missed anything important.
