Quarantine Can Do's #4

During this Isolation, we have to continue with our work and keep updated on our blogs. We have Can Do's and Must Do's. This is one of our Can Do's that we could do. This  one was to Make Your Own Task. I chose to do it about making Rock Candy! We have to record the process on how to make it!

This is a relatively Easy Recipe to make. You will need some parent assistance because you're using a stove! Be Safe! :D

  1. Kia ora Teegan,

Science and food! How cool is this?! What a great thing to make, but probably not every day as that is a lot of sugar. What a long time to wait though. I guess it will teach you patience. Did you make them 3-4 weeks ago and then have to wait all this time to post about it?

I love the colours and raspberry is always a good flavour.

    Thanks for sharing Teegan,
    :) Mrs Spragg

    1. Kia Ora Mrs Spragg!
Thank You so much for commenting on my blog!
I agree with you, this was a very cool experiment especially being able to see the crystals grow overtime! We made 6 in total, the other 2 weren't as impressive. I am slowly starting to get more involved with cooking each week.

At the time I am speaking to you, it was about 2 & 1/2 moths ago that I actually made these, but they were very good! I reckon that the longer you let them sit for, the more and bigger the crystals would get! But that's a tale that only time will tell.

Sadly, The food coloring didn't really work out that well, I would have tried adding a little bit more coloring into the mixture.
Once again, Thank You for your comment!

      Kind Regards,

      - Teegan J. Ducharme
